What’s Cookin’ Good Lookin’?

About Us

My name is Cher and I am Nan’s eldest grandchild. I’ve been compiling Nan’s Eurasian recipes for over 20 years. What started as merely my handwritten notes of Nan’s recipes has evolved into a proper cookbook that I am very proud of.

Nan was born in Singapore in 1932 and has lived her whole life here. From a tender age of 10, Nan has been cooking for her family of 8 brothers and sisters. Through observation and learning tips and tricks from family and friends, Nan was able to produce the most wondrous curries, chutneys, pies and cakes out of her tiny kitchen for the past 80 years. Without formal education, it was difficult for Nan to record any of her recipes. I have spent these very enjoyable years with Nan cooking, taking a walk down memory lane with her and compiling these recipes into a cookbook.

At the blissful age of 91 years old, she now cooks for her large extended family and her even larger circle of friends.
